WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Another 'Best Seller' that hasn't shown any appeal to the Guests at Little Hallingbury Mill Hotel. It does look a bit tatty but when has that stopped a book from being a good read?

Journal Entry 7 by chamonix44 at Colchester, Essex United Kingdom on Wednesday, March 16, 2011
I have just discovered that this is yet another book which I picked up at The Purple Dog pub whilst I was on holiday in England last year, and I read it, either whilst on holiday or when I arrived home, and journalled it,.....BUT....the new BookCrossing site, (at that time), lost my catch notes for this book, along with notes on several other books that I either caught or released in the UK. I think this problem has been ironed out now, but I'm still discovering books with lost notes from that time. (I released more than 60 books during that trip to the UK and made release notes for every single one of them before I left home, but many notes just disappeared)!

Anyway, I picked up this book from The Purple Dog pub.
I remember that I liked this story.
When Tom is killed, a group of his old friends gather together to mourn him. They rediscover their friendships and hear about the successes and failures and longings of each other.

Review from Amazon:
Holly Macintosh is sitting round her kitchen table with her oldest friends – friends she hasn’t seen since school - now reunited by an unexpected tragedy and catching up on the past 20 years.

On the surface, they are all successful and happy. But scratch a little deeper after that extra glass of wine and it’s not quite so straightforward: Paul and Anna are struggling to have a baby, Saffron the actress is still waiting for that really big break that – at 39 – is looking less and less likely, and Olivia, always the wallflower of the group, is newly single and mourning her lost love.

And what about Holly Mac? Can she and her husband Marcus get their marriage back on track for the sake of the children? Or has someone just come back into her life who will change everything forever?

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Thursday 17th March, a cold, crisp day and we are still waiting for the sun to come out! Today is St. Patrick's Day in Ireland, and this book has a green cover. Also the author's name is Jane Green. We associate anything green with Ireland, and so this is a good day to release this particular book. I had an appointment at the foot clinic in the local hospital, and so I took the book there. I left it, next to some magazines, on a small table, between some chairs, in the waiting area opposite "Podotherapie Wender" on the ground floor. I hope it will soon be seen, and taken home by a new reader. It has a yellow post-it note on the front cover, saying 'free book' in both Dutch and English.
If you are the lucky one who found this book, then I would be pleased if you could leave a message here to say if you found the book in the same place where I left it. Thank you.

If you are reading here, then I want to tell you that this is a. FREE . book, and there are no catches! It is now yours! Please read on.....
If you are the finder of this book it would be nice if you could leave a message here to say that you have it. Do not worry because I don't want the book back. It is yours to keep if you want it. I just want to know it is now in safe hands.
