I picked up this book yesterday at the Bolling Air Force Base (Washington, D.C.) library free book exchange shelf. I have been collecting as many Grisham books as I can get my hands on since he is one of my favorite authors and he will be making an appearance at the National Book Festival at the end of September. I hope to release the books there in hopes that other fans will find them.

In May 2007 I read a different copy of this book and here are my comments from that time.

This book is about an aspiring law student that gets thrown into some interesting cases straight out of law school. There is a kindly widow worth millions, and some middle class workers that are getting screwed by an insurance company. This is where Rudy steps into the hottest case of his career that is just getting started. The problem lies in landing a job with an agency, some rather shady characters and some hardball lawyering that will make you blink in disbelief.

This is an interesting book that I enjoyed. In fact I could hardly put it down waiting to see if the bad guys would get there due and if the good guys would win out and get to live happily ever after.

I am a fan of John Grisham books and I am enjoying getting to read all of his works.

The Library of Congress Celebrates the Joy of Reading

The 2009 National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress, will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., between 7th and 14th streets from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.

I attended this event with a yellow wagon full of books and was able to give them all away to people that wanted them. A success in my book!
