Journal Entry 1 by cliff1976 from Regensburg, Bayern Germany on Sunday, August 23, 2009
This is a fascinating look at a section of society about which I know very little about. The weird bonus to all of this is that the author is from pretty much the same part of the world that I am (the Detroit, MI area). I am thankful that Iojima put it into our hands. After the better half gets a chance to read it, it'll be up for grabs. Depending on how quickly she gets through it, it might be up for grabs at our expatriate bloggers' meetup in Munich in a couple weeks. But I still have to finish it first. I am almost done and will be sorry when it's completed.

marahsulloy gets it next. What a great book. Gave me some insight to parts of society which, to me, were previously a mystery.

Journal Entry 3 by Iojima from Nyons, Rhône-Alpes France on Wednesday, August 26, 2009
An Israeli journalist, raised in Detroit, returns to travel the U.S. and learn what American Jewry is really like. Perceptive, instructive and entertaining.
