10 out of 10

This is one of those great books of childhood. I first read it in eighth grade for class and it was just fantastic. The characters are so real, yet somehow above and beyond we average folk. Atticus Finch is a good man, and a noble man, that he seems almost superhuman Superdad. Yet at the same time he's just a normal, everyday father. Bob Ewell is just so, so evil and disgusting, but he's a person too, and unfortunately a sort of man you still meet far too often.

This is one of those books I just read over and over again. I can't get enough of it.

This book had a brief stay in San Jose, CA before continuing its travels in the 1001 Bookbox!
