Oh my-this book has been on the TBR shelf for quite some time. I decided to read this book as part of Plum-crazy's "Can't Decide What to Read Next?" thread. The theme for the month of April was "money, money, money". I thought this was a perfect fit--as in when you work as a waitress and the customers leave without tipping you, they "stiff" you.
I enjoyed this book, some chapters more than others. I found the section on decomposing and embalmbing very interesting. However, as I thoroughly described some of the elements of human decay to my about-to-eat-lunch co-workers, they did not seem to share my enthusiasm. And since I work as a flight attendant, I found chapter 5 very intriguing also.
This book in on many wishlists so I'll offer it out as a RABCK.

Sending out to a fellow BCer as a RABCK--enjoy!
Just received this book today, thank you. Interested to see what it is all about. When done, I will send it on, as promised.
Well, I've read about 141 pages of this book, and although I have learned some interesting things, it just isn't holding my attention. I keep putting it down and wandering off to some other book. So, I will be sending this on sometime in the coming week. Thanks for letting me try it!
Moving on to pinklady60 today.
I received this in the mail today. Thank you so much, 300dogs, for offering this book to me and to T02S03811D20 for passing it on when you were finished with it.
This book offers all you ever wanted to know about what happens to dead bodies and details their unique scientific contributions - - from anatomical gifts to medical research to compost piles. This book could have been very sober and gruesome, but it was written with just the right touch of humor. Sometimes, it was actually outrageously funny.
