Arrived this morning, and what a great book it looks. I love all the characters listed on the back - 46 Mr Men, many of whom I remember from when I was five.

It was a fun read, and the pictures brought back memories of reading the Mr Men book with my mum.

Mr. Nosey - welcome to Sandy, Utah, U.S.A.
I'm delighted to be your hostess for the next week.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fun book and its marvelous collection of postcards and notes from around the world.

I am a school teacher, church nursery worker, cub scout leader, and grandma. I've set a goal to share this book with at least 450 readers before the end of January.
Thank you, Bookcloud and Grandson, for including me in this ring.

Hi. My nickname is Super-Gabe and I'm nine years old. Last night I read the book with my grandpa and brothers. IT IS SOOOOO FUNNY! We liked it so much, we read it twice. I read it again this morning and laughed just as hard as I did last night. It's really cool that the book is going all over the world.
That five-year-old boy had an AWESOME idea for his book.

Clare Ostler is a family friend, and is Abe's cub scout leader. She is circulating this book among "her boys."
Our family read it together, and we think it is a fabulous book. I am definitely going to get a copy for our bookshelf. My little boy Mattie is 5, and has talked all afternoon about starting his own bookring like this one.

Thanks from Sharon, Kyle, Diane, Abe, Mattie, and Hannah.

We are taking the book to the family next door. Their son is one of Clare's cub scouts, too.

Journal Entry 39 by cbostler from Sandy, Utah USA on Sunday, January 24, 2010

10 out of 10

The book MR. NOSEY has done some traveling in the last twenty-four hours. Phineas, one of my cub scouts, shared it with his family of seven last night. Phineas says that the best part of this bookring is the page that accompanies the book and shows cancelled stamps from each place that Mr. Nosey visits. The family had a lot of fun tracing its travels on a world globe.

It's Sunday, and MR. NOSEY went to church with me so that the story could be shared with children and other adult assistants in the church nursery. WHAT A GRAND TIME WE HAD!!! The nursery children are creative, and loved pretending to be Mr. Nosey as I dabbed imaginary paint, clipped invisible clothes pins, and hammered (ever so gently) on little noses. Glorious giggles and squeals came from the nursery.

My daughters and their husbands are here for Sunday dinner. Today's entertainment is...
You guessed it! MR. NOSEY.
After they finish the book, the number of Sandy, Utah readers will be 42.

My youngest grandson, Mighty-Muscles, will be taking MR. NOSEY to pre-school tomorrow. His older brother, Danger-Boy will share it with his kindergarten class Monday afternoon.
With so many busy little hands waiting to explore this book, I borrowed a library copy of Mr. Nosey. We'll do actual reading from that book, and use Bookcloud's for display only.

His teacher wrote the following:
Dear Friends,
Thank you for including Toad-ally Awesome Preschool in this activity. We loved the funny story and pictures.
I am always on the lookout for good books to add to my collection, and this one will be the next one I buy.
Sincerely,

Danger-Boy is cbostler's five-year-old grandson. His mother brought MR. NOSEY to his kindergarten class this afternoon, and read it to the children.
Danger-Boy is going to dictate the journal response while Grandma types.

Grandma: Tell me what happened when you shared MR. NOSEY with your friends at school.
Danger-Boy: They really liked it. They laughed so hard when Mr. Nosey had a clothes pin on his nose.
Grandma: The pictures in the book are hilarious. Which one is your favorite?
Danger-Boy: The one with his nose all wrapped up in bandages. We got to color pictures of him. I made one with paint and bandages and clothes pins all at the same time.
Grandma: Sounds great! You are quite the artist. Did you learn a lesson from this story?
Danger-Boy: Don't be too nosey or you will get a sore nose.
Grandma: Do you have a message for other people who have read this copy of Mr. Nosey?
Danger-Boy: Hi and Bye.

I, cbostler, teach seven and eight-year-old children in West Jordan. It's a town that shares a border with Sandy, Utah. The school is Oakcrest Elementary, and the mascot is the bald eagle. Children who attend the school
are called "Oakcrest Eagles." Our screen name is oakcrest-eagles, too.

We have successfully shared other BookCrossing books by loaning them to our school librarian. She will
read MR. NOSEY aloud to each class during its weekly visit to the library. MR. NOSEY will provide her with an extra special read-aloud because of the traveling that it has done. The postcards, etc. will be placed in a protected display along with a map showing its journey.

I am excited to begin, and think Oakcrest-Eagles will be delighted, too.
