This is a terrific story of friends through the years. Five American Air Force wives are stationed in Norfolk, England in 1952. They are determined to make the most of their time there, and they keep themselves busy traveling around the nearby countryside, and getting caught up in the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. They also forge a lasting friendship with a young Englishwoman they meet. It's a story of marriages, divorce, separation, reunion, told with humor as well as sentiment. I didn't want to put it down.

Hardcover.

6/13/03 This will be going to jkate.

Going on my TBR pile. As a word of warning, book rays and rings are piling up around my house, but I am reading them and mailing them out as soon as I can. The book is not lost at my house - it will be read and sent back into the wild asap.
