Journal Entry 1 by JonniC from Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Wednesday, August 12, 2009
I did start reading this book, however I got totally bored with it and it certainly wasn't the type of book I thought it would be! I shall move it one pretty soon!

It was OK. not very impressed but then that's how I usually feel when reading books for Young Adults:the story is predictable, melodramatic, overwritten ... but I guess that's how it should be written novel in YA genre. What confuses me though it's a note on the cover of the book:"NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER READERS" Why on earth not? because the main character is gay? I mean, really! I didn't found anything that would be even remotely disturbing that would justify this note. OK he does drooling over the image of his beefcake fantasy (broad shoulder, strong pecs, not sure if 6 packs is even mentioned, anyway, that's it. Oh, OK there is one kiss actually (I think the word "tongue" has been used)).
Anyway, it's quick read. There are more than few contradictions (characters sometimes forget what they can do and leave reader kind of confused) but try not to pay attention too much.

Thank you so much for this, zzz. It was a recent addition to my wishlist as I saw it mentioned somewhere (don't even remember where) and it looked like something right up my alley.
