The fourth novel in crime series featuring schoolteacher Peter Maxwell.
When a director is shot dead, Maxwell finds himself in the frame as never before. One of his ex-sixth formers fired the gun, and it was Maxwell who loaded and primed it. He sets out to clear his name and that of his old pupil.

love this Mad Max series & can't believe how few people have come across him.
As always, a good murder mystery with some cracking lines from Mad Max, his dry wit & sarcasm are a joy-if you enjoy the Frost novels than you're sure to love this!
I hope this copy finds him some new fans...he deserves it :o)
