Painfully sharp, often poignant and chock full with more truth than anyone would really like to admit, Sex and the City is a harem-scarem, casually vicious but ultimately thorough dissing of a thirtysomething world where gloss and glamour can never compensate for The Real Thing, and where eventually Settling is the only answer. --Susan Harrison

Began reading this but it's not for me. The writing style (sort of anecdotish in my opinion)isn't working for me & with so many other books waiting to be read I'm giving up on this one after around 20 or so pages - something I very rarely do but hey ho....

Picked up in Forget-Me-Not Charity Shop; a bargain at just 50p. Passing on somewhere in Northumbria next week - don't know where, yet!
