The book has arrived safely, thank you.

I guess the clue was in the first sentance: "We were the Mulvaneys, remember us?"

This does seem like the type of book that I would enjoy reading and I look forward to doing so.

Thanks again, for sending this my way.

Some books you read, enjoy but do not give a second thought too when you close it. This book is not one of those. I found it very moving, watching the destruction of the Mulvaney family’s way of life was heartbreaking. I became very engrossed in the book and cared about what happened to the characters. At one time, just after I closed the book, my husband said “why do you look so sad and miserable?”.

What made it worse was that I thought the misery was pretty much self induced. That is what happens when people do not vocalise what is in their heart and minds. If you keep everything bottled up and act like something did not happen then it will eat you up inside, cause frustrations to surface in other areas and result in people being pushed away.

I did sometimes get a bit irritated by the jumping around in time, and would have like to have known more about what was going on inside the fathers head; though it was really the story from the childrens perspective. Not so keen on the ending (unrealistic I thought), but overall it was an ‘enjoyable’ read.

Thanks for sharing.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I was going to release this while walking along the seafront (am visiting family here). It then started raining and I realised that there has only been a couple of hours of sun this week so a wild release is probably not a good idea.

I decided to leave it at the Barnados charity shop which is a couple of minutes walk from the waterfront They are selling books for 29p so it is practically free and there will be a greate rchnace of someone coming across it.

If you were lucky enough to find it please state where you found it and what you thought about the book. When you have finished please release for someone else to find. Keep its journey alive.
