Neverwhere

Very intriguing dark fantasy. Who's to say that the street people who seem to be talking to themselves aren't experiencing an alternate reality, after all?
An alternate world beneatht the city of London. A good fantasy read.
Controlled release. To librelover at bookbrunch.
"contemporary Alice in Wonderland". Sounds good, but the author looks spooky. Got it from informal bookcrossing meeting. Oh Oh! Just read ghir's journal- looks even better!
Left behind after our TOC lunch at the Pineapple room today so I picked it up.
Purple58 flipped through this book today and said that there's a scene from Kingsley Amis's Lucky Jim in this book. I dont' know which bit she was referring to, and I've never read Kingsley Amis, but I'm reluctant to believe that Gaiman would have deliberately plagiarized someone else's work. She's got me curious about which scene it is, though. If I ever read Lucky Jim I might have to re-read this to compare them.
