Thanks!! I hope you enjoy it. I also heartily recommend the two "Mouse Tales" books; I'm keeping mine, but if you can find them, they are hysterical! I know many people who've worked at Disneyland, and they always have the best stories!

Just received in the mail today and the timing could not have been better. I leave for my Disneyland vacation in 15 days, plenty of time to read this and 2 of Koenig's Mouse Tales books. Thanks so much for starting this ring!

8/21 I actually finished this last week and I loved it. I love to read about anything Disney and this filled the bill. The format was excellent with each chapter starting with the orginial version of the story behind a movie followed by the Disney version of the story, followed by the production problems/process associated with that movie and then the subsequent theme park attractions, shows or parades that were then based on the movies. I am not sure if this was an intentional oversight or if the book was published too late but none of the Disney-Pixar movies were mentioned. It covers movies from Snow White to the Hunchback/Mulan. The newer movies like Emporer's New Groove, Atlantis etc. will have to come in a future edition. I can't wait! I also can't wait to see some of the things mentioned in the book in Disneyland next week. Woo hoo!

I am mailing this out to CaptMom tomorrow as Fio-Daugua has opted out of this ring.

Book has arrived safe and sound. It will be a race to see who reads it first. Me or my daughter. She is a bigger Disney fan than I am, and that says a lot!

Pretty interesting. My daughter made copies of the blooper pages so that we could watch for them next time we watch the movies. I imagine they happen so fast that it is hard to catch. But it will be a fun game. The book goes out today to Davitraka. Hope you enjoy it amid all your schoolwork!

Just got it in the mail. Great postcard!

It was very enjoyable. Wonderful as a filler read (can pick it up, put it down easily).

Yaay - I hope that I can get this book read in a reasonable period of time so it can continue on its journey. I seem to have become a magnet for book rays.

Great book providing inside information about the making of Disney's animated features (also including MARY POPPINS and WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT? - partially animated movies) from SNOW WHITE and the SEVEN DWARFS up through TARZAN. There is also some inside information regarding the Disneyland (Anaheim, CA) theme park (not so much about other Disney parks). It's a fast and entertaining read for anyone who has even a passing interest in Disney films.

Enjoyable, though a bit spotty and short on certain details, with hardly a mention of the Orlando theme park, and with less information than you can find on some websites. It's not for completists, but it's worth a look for the average Disney-lover. Thanks for sharing it!

Arrived today--with a big slash mark in it! Grover3d packaged the book very carefully, but even a Tyvek envelope is no match for an X-Acto knife. Darn Postal Service, this is the second time this has happened to a book I have received. The front cover and the first nine pages are slightly damaged, but I am taping them up, and the book is still quite readable.

I will start on this immediately. Very excited to see that _Song of the South_ gets its own chapter. I saw that film last year, in a bootleg of the Japanese laserdisc version. Every time someone started singing, Japanese subtitles would pop up at the bottom of the screen. Too weird.

Thanks for sharing this unusual book!

I'm not the biggest Disney fan, so I learned a lot from this book. My favorite parts were:

* the list of names brainstormed for the Seven Dwarfs/Dwarves (Gabby? Blabby? Flabby? Crabby? CHESTY? Neurtsy? Hoppy? Hickey? Thrifty? Biggo-Ego?),

* the rather shocking description of racism in the original release of _Fantasia_ (a black centauress polished the hoofs of white centauresses), and

* the joke memo that went around after _Basil of Baker Street_ was retitled _The Great Mouse Detective,_ in which other Disney movies were given similarly bland titles (_Seven Little Men Help a Girl,_ _The Little Deer Who Grew Up,_ _The Girl with the See-Through Shoes,_ _Two Dogs Fall in Love,_ _The Girl Who Seemed to Die,_ and _Puppies Taken Away._)

PalmersPal has already sent her address, so I will mail this after the Presidents' Day holiday.

I enjoyed this book, with lots of stories about the hows and whys of Disney animation. Walt Disney truly was a genius! I finished this book on 3/11/04 and finally mailed it off to Kbgoffe on Monday. Sorry for the delay. Finances were acting up again. Thanks for sharing this one.

Due to health issues with my fibromyalgia I am horribly, terribly far behind in my journal entries. The book did make it safely to Oregon.

This book was fascinating to read. I grew up going to Disneyland at least twice a year. My mom teases me that I have a prenatal love for Disneyland as she went there twice while pregnant with me. Now I need to go back and try to find some of the bloopers. Great excuse as I have not been there since 1999. Thanks for sharing this book.
