I read this almost all in one day, whilst flying between Portugal and the uk. I thought it was a great read - possibly better than either of the other 2 of his I've read (steel remains and black man). Have left it at the Old Shades OBCZ in the hope it will be picked up.

Picked the book up at the Old Shades, and had a heck of a ride with it! It's a great book, with no-one necessarily being who they seem, as you can be 'downloaded' into someone else's body - if the person who originally occupied the body has committed a crime.
And when you have served your time you don't often get your own body back, unless you are extremely rich. The rich can buy body after body, thus extending their life, with their own personality and memories being 'backed up' into storage in case of accident every few hours.
So why would someone like that kill their current body?"
