I did find this book difficult to grasp while I was reading it. Keeping each of the girls straight was a challenge and following the timeline as well. However, after reading the last part of the book, I realized the great trauma the girls and their parents went through in the US, having literally left their priviledged, although threatened, lifestyle to become marginalized in their new country. It appears as if none of the sisters have really recovered from the shock. This is going into my Two Worlds virtual bookbox.

I finished reading this a while ago, quite an entertaining book! It gave me a chance to practise my Spanish a little bit (I just started a course), so that was nice. :D I liked the set up of the book, telling stories from the sister's different perspectives and during different times, though some parts were more interesting than others.
