My dog Watson is named after Dr Watson, so he was very interested when I told him The Hound of the Baskervilles gave his namesake a chance to shine. Watson is sent off to the West Country on his own, and gets to investigate without Holmes for once.My Watson liked this idea... but I'm afraid he was even happier when he solved the mystery and Dr Watson couldn't work it out. Watson's a dog with a healthy sense of his own superiority and he's delighted to think he's more helpful than Dr Watson. We're going to the Sheep Heid Inn tomorrow (I have a date!) so we'll wild release this on their BookCrossing shelf. |
