So I just finished reading this book on the car ride home on Friday and it was so good! I felt like it was one of those books that I want to read over and over again. And it only took me five days to read which for me is a miracle! I'm passing this on to my mom to read before I may send it out to my best friend if she's interested. She's a non-bookcrosser so maybe I can get someone new interested!

Amazon Editorial Review:
Lexi Laney and Clare Hart grew up together having wondrous adventures across picturesque Nantucket. And when it was time to share intimate secrets and let their imaginations run free, they escaped to their private hideaway: Moon Shell Beach. But nothing stays the same. With the complicated pressures of adulthood, their intense bond is frayed, hurtful words are exchanged, and Lexi flees Nantucket to a life of luxury while Clare stays behind.

Ten years later, a newly divorced Lexi returns to make amends with those she left in her wake–particularly Clare, who still simmers with resentment toward her friend. Their emotional reunion is beset with major challenges, as Lexi’s return sets off a series of startling events. And as Clare’s life takes an abrupt detour, Lexi wonders if the happiness and peace they once knew on Moon Shell Beach will, in the end, prove to be as fleeting as time and the tide.

I was very hopeful when I received this book in the mail. I wanted to fall in love with a story based on a deep friendship, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. I couldn't empathize with the characters and their choices throughout the book. Between Lexi and Ed, Clare sticking with Jesse all that time and then what happens with Lexi...I couldn't get myself to like or even feel for these characters for most of the book. It had it's good moments, like the very beginning of the friendship and storyline with Tris. I hope the next reader enjoys it more than I did. Thanks for sharing.

Sending on the the next reader today.
