Received this great wishlist book today in the mail, thanks so much for thinking of me!! I can't wait to read it and then pass it on!
Michael Haller took over the cases of a fellow lawyer and soon found himself in trouble with a high profile case. This was an interesting story and moved along nicely. Connelly did another great job and I hope to read more of his books soon. This one is now ready for a new reader
Selected from the Mystery/Thriller VBB, Enjoy!

The book is safely here in Austin, thank you bookstogive :)
Fall is the perfect season for noir detectives (like all the other seasons too), recently I've read a few Harry Hole books by Jo Nesbø - and those reminded me of Harry Bosch again. After this one (I did read and see the Lincoln Lawyer so I know Mickey Haller) there's only 9 Dragons left... This one sounds like the perfect read for the weekend.

I finished the book I think last week but forgot to journal it then... a solid Connelly, with way more Mickey Haller (the Lincoln Lawyer) and not enough Harry Bosch. But there was Harry Bosch several times helping and following Haller. How he seems so different when it's not a Bosch story though...
Connelly is brilliant, but his books (in any series) should totally be read in order. I ended up reading a bunch -again- out of order, like The Overlook first, then Echo Park (comes before the Overlook in the series), then this. Mickey Haller is not Bosch, but he's quite interesting too. (And I dare admit that the guy who portrayed him in Lincoln Lawyer was quite a bit how I imagined Haller).

"Don't ever apologize to an author for buying something in paperback, or taking it out from a library (that's what they're there for. Use your library). Don't apologize to this author for buying books second hand, or getting them from bookcrossing or borrowing a friend's copy. What's important to me is that people read the books and enjoy them, and that, at some point in there, the book was bought by someone. And that people who like things, tell other people. The most important thing is that people read... "
