I found this at the bookswap tonight and have brought it home to register in memory of BookCrosser bumma, who was a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America.
I am sure I read this many years ago but will read again before releasing.

I chose this book because of the fist sentence: "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife". I expected it to be a little bit more modern chick lit, so this was a unexpected surprise. Fortunately a welcome one, thank you TaxManager.

"So many books, so little time..." This book has been on my TBR-shelf far too long. I'm sending it to someone who has it on her wish list. Safely travel little book :)
Thank you so much, Piiku, what a nice surprise! :-)
I certainly do want to read this book - for two reasons: First, it's definitely a "should know" novel, and second, I consider it a good preparation for another book that has been on my wishlist for quite some time: "The Eyre Affair" by Jasper Fforde. I think I will start with this one as soon as I have finished my current book (but I have to admit I'm a slow reader...).
