Book reporting with a difference. A tribute to reading. Sometimes a bit disappointing when he lists books bought but not read, and you'd've wanted to hear his opinion on some of those books rather than the ones he does write about. Still, highly charming. Strangely enough, I haven't read anything else by Mr Hornby.

Looks interesting, and I like Hornby a lot, so I decided to take this home from the BC meet-up this afternoon.

Oh, dear me! I started out making lists of all the books I wanted to read - so many authors I've never even heard of! Then I crossed out the biographies, which brought the number down to a more manageable size. Fortunately titles which I actually had read popped up. Still the number of books on my list was scaring! For my inner eye I could see my Mt. TBR totter under the burden of all the additional books. I've ended up tearing the list in two.

I enjoyed the book. Like Pierre says, it is reading about reading with a twist. And the twist is unmistakeably Hornby-ish. A good read for every one who loves books. (Does Hornby know about BookCrossing, I wonder...).

Picked it up at todays BCmeet.
I just finished reading my first Hornby book (Juliet, Naked) and am feeling hungry for more. This one looks enjoyable.

Update. March 20, 2011
----------------------------------
I loved this book. Everything from how he really wanted to be a bookblogger, he doesn't say, but I am sure that is what he means, till how he treats the books he reads and how dry wit funny he is.
I don't share the same literary taste and there was very few books on his lists I had actually read, and agree with Sota about the extensive amount of bio-s I also would have wanted some snark - but as I said - - loved it!

Think I have developed a serious hornbycrush after having read this.
