K.C. recommended the entire Sword of Truth series to me in the spring of 2002. I was hooked from the first page of the first book -- this one: Richard Rahl lives in an area without magic, but one day meets Kahlan, a woman with tremendous gifts; then he discovers his own gift as The Swordbearer -- and I read all seven books, one right after the other. Soon I am going to reread all the books again, so all the details will be fresh in my memory when I start Naked Empire (July 2003).
Prequel Debt of Bones
1. Wizard's First Rule (available in the PSC Library)
2. Stone of Tears (available in the PSC Library)
3. Blood of the Fold (available in the PSC Library)
4. Temple of the Winds (available in the PSC Library)
5. Soul of the Fire (available in the PSC Library)
6. Faith of the Fallen (available in the PSC Library)
7. The Pillars of Creation (available in the PSC Library)
8. Naked Empire (to be released in paperback June 2004)
If you like it, remember you don't have to buy the other books in the series -- you can get it from the public library. If your public library doesn't own the books, ask them about getting it on interlibrary loan. -- WV public libraries have a wonderful free interlibrary loan system, so use it! And if you're not from WV -- well, the public libraries in MD, PA*, OH, KY, TN and VA also have good interlibrary loan services as well.

HERE!!! told you it'll show up, very strange that it should take 5 months! but i've notice, it's either 3 or 5 (hope we don't get to the 7 month range). maybe they miss the first ship and then sit waiting for the second one?! well, it's here and i'll try to read this and the third one (that's been waiting for a while) real soon. though it'll probably be here for a month or two. give me a nudge if you think you wanna move it faster and thanks for the rings
will be mailed tomorrow with it's companion and on it's way to billhookbabe and keeping finger crossed and touching wood and hoping for it to be there for the new year holidays. thanks alot LCBane
Arrived today with some postcards and Blood of the Fold. Looing forward to the next two but have a few other rings to go first.
It took me a short while to reorientate myself to the Midlands and it's characters as it was a while since I read the last one. Richard is developing nicely as a hero but is still sorry for himself. There were time I wanted to shout at him to get him out of his self pity. This book did seem to drag on a little and I thought Richard and Kahlen would never see each other again.

I received this book today in the mail. I will read it and post a review ASAP.
Stone of Tears is the sequel to Wizard's First Rule and the second book in the Sword of Truth series.
Goodkind improves. This plot in this book was a 100% improvement over Wizard's First Rule. See my review here:

He did sacrifice some originality by revisiting story elements from WFR ie. collars to control, etc. However, I enjoyed this book a lot more, especially the last third. Many have told me that these books improve as the series progresses. This certainly seems to be the case so far.
Thanks to LCBane for these bookrings. I will send this on to the next participant tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to this one. Thanks!
Excellent sequal. I can hardly wait to read the third one!
I was nearly fed up with Richard on this one...I'm glad Nathan got some sense into him.
