7 out of 10

I enjoyed reading about Isobel and her discovery and recovery from Tuberculosis. I was a little confused as to location and timing of the story - it was obviously set in Sydney because of a few geographical references, but it actually could have been set anywhere. The only reference I could find to timing was the khaki wool which appeared to be a hangover from the (second?) World War. The story at times moved a little erratically, perhaps in line with her illness but overall I learned a little about how the initial diagnosis of TB affected people and then kept them from moving back into the real world when they recovered. Isobel's story came out over the course of her illness and it was interesting to see how she finally let people into her life when she was most vulnerable.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

This book is released as part of the Dutch Convention Monopoly Game and this week my team has to release a book in a nice shopping street. Ruckers Hill on High Street is a lovely shopping street near where I live. This is also a themed release as I have left the book outside "The Local Shop" as a corner shop is always a local shop.

My team will get extra points if you make a journal entry and even more if you join bookcrossing so do me a favor and join the greatest free bookclub in the world - you will not regret it!
