I picked this up in the post room where I live. It's clearly been in a charity shop or two - the price at one time being 15p! This one was printed in 1972, that's before I read it, perhaps around 1983, at a guess. I don't remember anything about it, other than I enjoyed it.

An old favourite found in The Purple Pumpkin Patch today. I left my last copy of this in Alice three years ago, lets see where this one ends up!,

Enjoyed this so much, good old fashioned classic of it's time. A lovely story, very well told.

Releasing in Alice Springs, will up date later. Yeah! I did leave it at the Telegraph Station!

This book "A Town Like Alice" was found at the Old Telegraph Station in Alice Springs and passed on to me as as end of year gift at the finish of my teaching position at Braitling Primary School. I look forward to reading and then leaving this in another iconic location.
