The Millennium Library had a book sale and individual books were $2.50 but a bag of books was $5.00. What amount do you think I picked?

Journal Entry 3 by gypsysmom at Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on Saturday, September 11, 2010
Well, I didn't get this finished up until we had returned home but maybe I can release it somewhere. The first book that I read by David Cole was Dragonfly Bones and I really enjoyed it so I've kept my eyes open for them ever since. This book is set before Dragonfly Bones and doesn't have as many native American references. Laura Winslow is a computer hacker/cracker and doesn't like violence. And yet she often seems to be in violent situations. Her friend Meg Arizana is involved with abused women and sometimes she needs to transport them to safe houses. Laura goes along as driver. This time she is driving a witness against a big Mexican crime syndicate and at the Mexican border the car is ambushed. The witness is executed and Meg is kidnapped. Meg screams to Laura to find her and Laura promises. So, the book is mainly about how Laura goes about doing that. The twist is that the Mexican crime syndicate only kidnapped Meg for someone else who also wants to get Laura. It's something personal but Laura can't figure out who would hate her and Meg that much. Even though she knows she is a target she goes after the kidnapper. Not as good a story as Dragonfly Bones but still enjoyable.

Journal Entry 6 by gypsysmom at Watchman Trail in Zion National Park, Utah USA on Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Released 8 mos ago (9/14/2011 UTC) at Watchman Trail in Zion National Park, Utah USA WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Between rainstorms we hiked this trail which leads up through a verdant canyon to an overlook from which you can see the Visitor Center and Springdale. Although it was very green it is still desert and scorpions are a real danger. So I left this book under a rock canopy that might shelter scorpions. I don't think scorpions read though so I hope some other hiker will pick it up. This release is for the 2011 52 Towns in 52 Weeks release challenge and for the 2011 You're Such an Animal release challenge.
