In this astonishingly frank autobiography, the Dalai Lama reveals the remarkable inner strength that allowed him to master both the mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism and the brutal realities of Chinese Communism.

Thanks so much for sending this. I'm a great admirer of the Dalai Lama and look forward to the read.

9 out of 10

A fascinating read. HH comes across as an intensely human and dedicated leader of his people, logical and perceptive about his position in the world, and able to find the irony and humour in many situations. Really a good read, thanks very much for sharing it.
