From the front cover:

''Cooper's letters are absurd, pointless, and very, very funny.'
RICKY GERVAIS

'Probably the funniest book you'll read this year.'
GUARDIAN

THE HUGE BESTSELLER'

From the back cover:

'For several years, Robin Cooper has been plaguing department stores, collectors' groups, associations and a certain children's book publisher with his letters. From the Campaign for Courtesy to the British Halibut Association . no one is safe.

Whether he's organizing a surprise clarinet party for his wife, designing scarecrows made from beef or merely looking for his lost shoelace, Robin Cooper is clearly a man with far too much time on his hands ...

'This is the funniest book I have ever read.'
MATT LUCAS, Little Britain

'Downright hilarious.'
OBSERVER

'I thought it was highly original, more highly original than Teenwolf - and Teenwolf Too.'
AVID MERRION, Bo' Selecta!

'A genuinely funny book.'
INDEPENDENT

'I laughed so much I hurt myself - and others.'
DAVID WALLIAMS, Little Britain

'I spat a good portion of my bacon sandwich all over this book while reading and laughing this morning.'
JOE CORNISH, The Adam & Joe Show'

This is a trade paperback edition from Michael O'Mara Books, published in 2004.

I've read about this book and its ... writer, or whatever :-) ... and have been thinking it might be a fun read, so when I came across it I picked it up. We'll see.

I bought this book at a flea market at Tåsen elementary school in Oslo on Sunday, April 26th, 2009.

The book is now read. It was ... definitely entertaining. The funniest part of it is imagining the people on the other end, so to speak, taking all of Cooper/Popper's crazy ramblings seriously. :-D If this was all for real then I'd say Cooper/Popper needed some kind of treatment ... but as it is I'm not sure what to think. :-) I'd like to read an interview or something with the guy. Hm, Google is my friend ...

He does seem like a pretty funny and normal person. I think the idea behind this book is very creative and the result is absurd and entertaining. I'd definitely read more of these collections.
