I bought this slightly-battered '60s paperback at this year's Humane Society yard sale at 1 Wall St. in Hudson. [The sale's on 'til 2 on Saturday and from 8 to noon on Sunday; books were selling for $1 for hardcovers and 50 cents for paperbacks, and there's lots of other stuff on hand as well.] I've read and enjoyed Henderson's stories since I first discovered them in my teens, and this collection of six longish stories adds to the lore of her People, the gentle, psi-talented extraterrestrials who have sought refuge on Earth.
I love all the stories, but the final tale in this one, "Shadow on the Moon", really caught my attention when I first read it - bittersweet and touching. If you're like me, you'll want to have some tissues on hand!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I left this book in a basket in the waiting area of Aspirations Bistro when I stopped by for one of their luscious turkey-pot-pie pasties. (The basket contains books and magazines for patrons, and I was pleased to see one of my previous releases still there - or back again.) Hope the finder enjoys the book!
