After I've read "The kite runner" and loves it, I'm looking really foward to read another book from Khaled Hosseini. Counted in the 1 year-1 Land-Challenge for Afghanistan!
Edit 09.05.: A touching and moving book about brave women in a troubled land like Afghanistan.
The story about Mariam an Laila, what happend to them, how they grew up, how they lived in this troubled land, during the various governments they got in the last decade from monarchy, over communism to Taliban regim... It will make you thoughtful. It's unbeliveable what women had and have to endure there.
And all written in Hosseini's pictureful and loveable style of writing.
But I, personally, liked The Kite Runner a bit more.
