For a year, while the Master ruled over Earth, Martha Jones travelled the world telling people stories about the Doctor - how he has saved them before, and how he will save them again. This is that story. It tells of Martha's travels - from her arrival on Earth as the Toclafane attacked and decimated the population through to her return to Britain to face the Master. But it's more than that. This is also a collection of the stories she tells - the stories of adventures she had with the Doctor that we haven't heard about before. The stories that inspired and saved the world!

On the one hand I enjoyed reading about Martha's travels, though it was by far the darkest and most cruel Doctor story I've ever read. And naturally there is no Doctor in it, but nevertheless, very well written.
On the other hand the stories that saved the world didn't work at all for me. I assume they were much to short to develope.

This book was really fascinating! Watching the show in TV was thrilling, but I kept wondering what Martha had to face during that year. Now, I know...

Bevor ich es vergesse: Bei 'Forever Trap' möchte ich bitte ausgelassen werden, denn das Hörbuch habe ich selbst geschenkt bekommen. :)
I was not in Hamburg for some days. It was a pleasant surprise to find this book on my return.
Like toshokanin I liked the story of Martha's journey during the year that never was. What happened in Japan was a real surprise for me. The shorter stories were not really convincing, with one exception: The Frozen Wastes. I thought it was really creepy and at the same time a good story about the human spirit. And the pastries made me laugh.
The book is now ready to go to Bellane.
