CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it. Then, when you are ready, pass it along for someone else to enjoy! Thanks and happy reading!
Received from NancyNova as part of my wishlist. Thank you so much.
I have too many books on Mount TBR at the moment, so I am going to pass this book along for someone else to enjoy.

This book rode to the end of the box, since Azuki said they didn't need them sent back at the end. Unfortunately, the box got soaked, and several books, including this one, have some water damage. This looks like it only go a couple drops on it, enough to leave a few discolored spots, but not even enough to give the pages a wave.
I haven't read this in a while, so I'm going to put it on Mt. TBR, but if I find a good release spot, I may let it travel without my re-reading it.

I liked this book better on the second go-round. I guess in the last decade I've grown more tolerant of gothic-inspired purple prose! It was still very prominent, and certainly not the sort of stuff that lets you get lost in story instead of words, but I could see more how it was being used for atmosphere and mood. With the exceptions of some gloriously clunky sections, it seemed to be adding more to the desired tone than it distracted from the story. I was also more accepting of Louis' melodramatic personality and less irritated by his brooding and waffling.
I suspect that if I read this again in another 10 years, I'll have yet another opinion on it!

One of the books starting the newest round of the Vampire Bookbox
Received in the Vampire Bookbox: Round VI
I released this book out about a year ago without reading it, and it made its way back to me. Guess I have to read it now! :)
I tried to get into it, but the first part of the book is kind of slow. I liked the promise of the homoerotic undertones, but just couldn't get into it.
