I really liked this book in the series - this one centers on Marguerite Argeneau. She is trying to discover who is the mother of Christian Notte and seems to be meeting obstacles at every turn, including Christian's father, Julius. Julius has his own reasons for keeping the secret, but a series of events brings him into the story and now it seems that he is Marguerite's lifemate. There is a mystery to be solved along with the romance and the story is a quick and satisfying read. I would definitely recommend reading this one AFTER 'Vampires are Forever' as the 2 books share a plot line and are better understood together.
