My dog Watson is fascinated by this book. It gives him an excuse to sniff and be superior (he'd never defy the law, his coat's not shabby, and he doesn't put on weight every day). It also allows him to complain about T.S. Eliot's prejudices.
But, for all his protests that he's just researching the enemy, I think he really likes the rhymes.

This book is reserved for the "Invisible Inc. secret society of bibliophiles release challenge". Invisible Inc. could learn a thing or two from Macavity: The Mystery Cat!
And when the loss has been disclosed, the Secret Service say:
'It must have been Macavity!' -- but he's a mile away.
