another one from petchmo who is having a massive book clear out! yay! will read and release. started reading this after finishing The Sea by John Banville in the hope that PC will prove to be more inspiring. I have already read and enjoyed The Alchemist and Veronika Decides to Die so am hoping this one will be just as good.

Paolo Coehlo is the Aesop of the 21st century. Beautifully written fables that are neither simplistic or patronising and always easy to read, his stories peel the outer skin from human nature and reveal a dark, sometimes rotten core. The end note of this book is "life can seem very long or very short, according to how you live it". Not as brilliant as The Alchemist but definately worth reading.

Keeping this book to be sent out as a RABCK v soon.

This book was waiting for me when I got home, I'm glad as I've been wanting to read one of Paulo Coelho's book for some time. Hopefully I shall get round to it soon after I'm done with all that I've on my plate now.

Thanks very much, shovelmonkey1 for sending this to me. Looking forward to reading it. Thanks for the postcard too - unique sculpture "Super Lamb Banana . Liverpool" - can see the lamb part but not the banana unless you want to count the colour. =)

I'm done with this book and I was like hmm.. hmm.. most of the time I was reading it. "The story of one man is the story of all men" will draw you in naturally and you find yourself reflecting on human nature, what would you do if you are in Chantal Prym's shoes?

This is a good book and easy to read, my first by Paulo Coelho and I will look for his other books to read. Meantime, I will find someone to pass this book to.
