I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I certainly would not like to meet "The Prophet" ! :-o

Amazon Editorial Review:
Michael Aulden, an American doctor working in the war-torn Middle East, thinks he has seen it all-- the devastating ravages of war, human bodies desecrated beyond recognition, the pain and misery of gaping psychological and physical wounds-- the worst kinds of destruction humankind can create. But nothing has prepared him for the evil he is about to experience.

In a cave in Iraq, a young man known as the Prophet prepares to unleash a terror of epic proportions. His goal: to upset the balance of good and evil on Earth. and Michael, one of only thirty-six pure souls who can save the planet, must summon all his powers to stop the Prophet before a worldwide apocalypse transforms the Earth into the darkest hell imaginable.

Filled with insightful storytelling and illuminating adventure, Lords of Light is a story of overwhelming power that not only entertains but also teaches us poignant lessons about our own lives and sheds startling new light on issues humanity has struggled with since the beginning of time.

Thanks KJSkye for this audiobook. I listened to the first tape straight away, and enjoyed it.
The next day I listened to the second tape. It certainly is an interesting story, and I didn't like the Prophet either!

Thank you for the HGG that arrived in the mail today!
I only know Deepak Chopra for his non-fiction books about ayurvedic medicine - very interesting to learn that he also writes fiction. Looking forward to listen to this.

Journal Entry 9 by wingApoloniaXwing from Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Monday, February 8, 2010
A very strange story… some kind of a mixture between a spiritual and a detective story, written like a thriller. Certainly not what I would have expected after reading Chopra’s introduction to ayurvedic medicine!
Sometimes I found the story moving too fast, quite a roller coaster ride – but maybe this was due to it being the abridged version. And some things I found rather confusing or inconsistent, kind of fragmented. Still, very interesting!

Got this in the mail yesterday - So guess I'm the winner! Yeah!!! I have never won a sweepstake before, I'm very excited!!!!

This was not the only audiobook I got - I also recieved The Last Juror by John Grisham , and also some very interesting chocolate with white poppy, cinnamon and apricot brandy. I will share this with my boyfriend, so that he won't think it too horrible, that I just won a lot of books - He thinks I have too many already!

Thank you again, ApoloniaX!
