Journal Entry 1 by ravencat from Lancaster, New York USA on Friday, June 12, 2009
Given to me as a gift from my daughter. This is my second copy so now it is a bookring. This was a very interesting story and very different from her Twilight Series. I found it a little hard to get into the story line but as you read more it was a good read.

Journal Entry 4 by kerbam1421 from Halethorpe, Maryland USA on Tuesday, June 23, 2009
UPDATE: I will be starting this one this evening on my way home from work on the train. UPDATE: I finished this on Thursday, 7/02/09, on a drive up to Long Island for the 4th of July weekend. I loved this book! I've only read the first 2 books in the Twilight series, and liked them, but now as much as some people. However, I greatly enjoyed this one! I couldn't put it down and it definitely held my attention. Some parts were redundant and other parts could have been left out, but all in all an enjoyable read. I've already recommended this book to a few of my friends. This will be sent off tomorrow. Enjoy! :)

I finished this yesterday and I’m ready to send it on to the next person, I already have the address. Hummm….Interesting book that deals with interesting concepts. Aliens take over our bodies and push our minds away but, rid our world of crime, disease and hate. But, is losing ourselves too much to pay? I enjoyed this and would like to discuss this at a book club – a lot of interesting themes.

Journal Entry 10 by NMReader from Herndon, Virginia USA on Monday, April 12, 2010
I know a status update is needed on this book. This was one of the BC books that was packed with my personal books when I moved. This last weekend, I hunted out this book and a few others. I will try to get them read and on their way as quickly as possible. I have read about 300 pages. I hope to spend my evenings reading on my deck. April 13: I meant to read for about 30 minutes yesterday before I ate dinner (figured around 7). It was a little chilly outside so I moved to my living room to read. The next time I looked at the clock, it was 9:42. I like how Meyers is building the characters. I have been looking for similarities between this and the Twilight series. So far the only thing I see is a tendency for the main female character to do what is in others best interest instead of her own and for there to be two strong male characters pulling her in different directions. April 14: I had wanted to finish this book last night but...I have about 12 pages left. If I didn't have a deadline looming I would have been tempted to stay up late or come in late and finished the book but...I will write a good journal entry (trying not to be a spoiler) tomorrow. I am enjoying the book.

Journal Entry 11 by NMReader from Herndon, Virginia USA on Thursday, April 15, 2010
Very different then The Twilight Series in someways but has one thing in common with it. The main female character often does what is in other's best intererst vs her own. I enjoyed the book and it didn't take long to read once I really got into it (seemed slow the first 100 pages or so). Interesting premise and not a sugary sweet ending but a overall happy one. I will look forward to more books by Stephanie Meyers. I have thegoalgirl's address and will mail the book on Fri or Sat. - Sorry nothing short of an army could get me to the PO today

I really liked this book. It took me a little bit to get into but once I did, I was hooked. I couldn't put it down. Think that overall, I liked the Twilight series better but it was interesting. Finished this a week ago, and have been waiting to hear from Angela861 for her address. Trying again today. Book was sent out today.

I fear I may never get any of the books that I have going finished...sigh. I am back from a training trip to NY, (and I am glad I didn't bring this book along, as the book I did bring along is with my luggage, and no one is sure where that is...sigh) -- so I will be starting this today :-)

Journal Entry 20 by innae at Aurora, Colorado USA on Wednesday, October 13, 2010
****SPOILER ALERT**** I did enjoy this story quite a lot. More than I expected when I started reading. As I said in a status update, it felt like Ms. Meyer got better at writing somewhere in the middle...maybe like she started this book a while ago, and then finished it when she had more skill. In any case, I enjoyed the story of Wanda and Melanie. I think she may have rushed the Kyle story a little, seemed he changed too fast -- like she needed everyone to have a happy ending. On that note, I am glad for the happy ending :-) on page 3 of 619: It actually starts on page 3, this is a bookcrossing ring book, so hopefully will get this read quickly — Sep 18, 2010 01:57pm on page 56 of 619: I am not hating this book, but I think I figured out why I am not in love with Meyer books -- she tells, you don't get to learn of things along with your character -- she needs more SHOWING less telling. — Sep 21, 2010 12:24am on page 244 of 619: I am still not loving this book, but nor can I say I am hating it. It is okay. Nothing spectacular, a lot like the Twilight books...just eh. — Oct 05, 2010 05:11pm on page 542 of 619: feels like maybe this is a book Meyer started long ago, and finished after she had written some more books. The beginning is more stilted, while where I am now is much more engaging. Or perhaps I have just come to care about the characters more. — Oct 11, 2010 08:10pm
