A Son of the Circus

I read this a few years ago, so forgive me if the details are fuzzy.
I like to read Irving to explore his biographical roots in his novels with adventures at a place like Exeter Academy in NH, followed by a trip to Vienna. Irving departs from this forumula and goes to India. Not as realistically told as some of his previous novels, but it has it's comic and entertaining moments.
I recommend it to Irving fans.
