In the beginning there was nothing but endless flatness. Then came the Carpet...which is home to many tribes and people. But Fray is sweeping across the Carpet causing death and destruction, and someone needs to stop it...
This was a good read and it makes you think about what might actually be living in your carpet and how many homes are being destroyed by your hoover! A light fun read for Terry Pratchett fans.

Thanks ever so much to agreeing to the trade chucklesthescot, I've managed to find the box with The Covenant of the Vampire in it this weekend so it'll be posted to you on Tuesday.
I've never read anything by Terry Pratchett and wanted to give him a go but instead of starting with his Discworld novels I thought I try out his other works first.
EDIT: 7th April 2010 – Well I enjoyed my first Pratchett novel; his imagination is extraordinary, I suspect this is far from his best work but you can see touches of genius in this story. I particularly enjoyed reading about the description of the High Gate Land.
I’ll look forward to reading Pratchett’s The Dark Side of the Sun soon once I’ve finished with my other book commitments.
Tim O'Brien - If I Die in a Combat Zone

I love Terry Pratchett ever since I read Truckers, Diggers and Wings when I was younger. His books are always good easy reads so I thought I'd read a light hearted book before starting some heftier ones!
Edit 5/5/10: Loved this book! I finished it last week and as ever, I really enjoyed this Terry Pratchett story. His imagination is brilliant and I loved all the little quirks in the book, particularly all the place names such as the Hearthlands and High Gate Land. This is a fun easy read; another Pratchett classic!

Terry Pratchetts first book, though edited by an older Terry Pratchett, but for a first book this is pretty good. I enjoyed it, it was an easy read, which I needed.
Will be wild released fairly soon.
