En sort-hvid tråd før den sidste bøn
14 journalers for this copy...
Would you like to join this virtual book box?
How:
* I will start by adding 10 books to the book box - I will copy the first page of each book and give this book a number - along with my screenname. ie. christina81 #1, christina82 #2 etc. I will not add the title of the book or any other infomation.
* I then send the copies to the first person on the list - he/she chooses a number of first pages and pm's the owner. He/she then replaces the chosen ones with other first pages from his/her own books. Then he/she sends the list to the next person and so on.
* I have made a BCID for this ring, so please post your choices and the books you recieve there too.
Rules:
* This is an international book box and you must be willing to ship internationally. Also you may have to send out several books depending on how many you remove from the box and how many of your books people ask for.
* Please try to keep this moving within a few weeks of recieving it.

Edit: I received he Long Good-bye by Raymond Chandler from Liel and Sister of my Heart by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni from Christina82. Thanks for sharing!
Moving on to the next person on the list. Sorry my page is handwritten-the library printer is not working so I needed to improvise!
This somehow reminds me of "If on a winter's night a traveler".... :-)
Will make my choice/s very soon.
Edit: My choice is christina82 #10
Another edit: What I got was John Banville's "The Book of Evidence"! Brilliant!!!!! Thanks, christina82!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Just e-mailed the ten (scanned) pages to Vekiki, prints are following in the mail (I send her a bookray anyway, so this is convenient).
I made ten pdf-files, let's see if this works out. Not everybody has a scanner or is willing to type the first page/s into a word file....
Thanks!
Canadian-babe #1 : Recieved 25/08/09 - Bones to Ashes by Kathy Reichs
Loveamystery #4 : Recieved 01/09/09 - Bachelor Brothers Bed & Breakfast by Bill Richrdson (and the sequel - Thanks!!)
And, obvioiusly, will replace them with Vekiki #1 & #2, which I will scan & send over the weekend (either post or email, I will check which savotar prefers as I have a parcel for her anyway)
Edit 25/09/09: Sorry for the delay in getting this posted out again - Savotar has asked that it be sent Snail-mail... and unfortunatly our Photocopier at work choose this week to give up the ghost. I've been looking for somewhere with a photocopy service, and today i finally found somewhere which was, unfortunatly, Closed! But i will go by on monday then put them all straight in the post.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Forgot to do my release notes when I put this in the post last week...
I have my selection: Canadian-Babe #2, I replaced it with arabd #1
It will continue its trip soon.
I will contact to jneni for his/her address.
I was expecting one book, but when her package finally arrived in the mail and I opened it, I actually got 2 books!! The one that I chose the 1st page for was Bread Alone by Judith Ryan Hendricks and she also sent me the sequel The Baker's Apprentice by the same author, so I guess she wanted me to read both.
Thanks a whole lot loveamystery for sharing and thank-you again christina82 for hosting this fun VBB!!!

Thanks christina82 for this original and fun virtual bookbox!!!!
Thanks to Canadian-Babe and christina82 for her original idea.
The pages are ready to go to bananabrianna in the mail tomorrow.
Thanks for hosting such a great bookbox!
My selection is:
Vekiki #2 and Christina82 #6
and I will replace it with Booksnbeer #1 and #2.
I can't wait to see which books this turns out to be. The suspense begins.
I will post this to the next person shortly.
Enjoy!!
Christina82 #6 is - The Secret Agent by Joseph Conrad.
I have read Heart of Darkness in school - maybe it is time for another classic.
Vekiki #2 = The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester
A book written in 1956 about the 25th century and a very lazy character. I will definitely read this.
Thanks!!!
BooksnBeer #2 and loveamystery #2
I've put two pages into the envelope and am sending a PM to Annimanni to get her address so I can send it along.
Some of you still have books in the bookbox. You can release them in some other way.
The book for which BCID I have used, will now be available for anyone who whishes to read it.
Thank you for playing
