The book arrived here safely today. What a lovely surprise! When I was little I loved to watch the old Zorro series on tv, so I look forward to reading this one. I haven't read anything by this author before, but I do have one of her books on my TBR.

Edit July 16th: Actually finished reading this a little while ago. The story is about how a young boy named Diego de la Vega became the famous Zorro (never knew the name means fox in Spanish). We follow him as he grows up in southern California, in between the Spanish (colonist) side of his father and the Native American side of his mother. Then he goes off to Spain for his education, together with Bernardo (his milk-brother) and after several years returns again to California, having many adventures along the way (or actually even when he was just a small kid).
The story reads easily and I enjoyed it very much, though sometimes found it a bit long. But it has lots of historical background which also made it quite interesting.
