Goldy Schulz is a caterer in Aspen Meadow, Colorado, and she's married to Investigator Tom Schulz of the Furman County Sheriff's Department. Those two facts about her life don't seem like they should be connected, but Goldy manages to find herself embroiled in murder investigations with some regularity. I don't remember much about the previous book, somehow..but I enjoyed Goldy's adventures, as usual.

I dunno, though. A dark tort(e) that's NOT chocolate?

Have I been to Colorado? Had to think about it, but the US Air Force Academy is there, right? I barely remember visiting because I was carsick - I think I didn't even get out of the car! I'll have to get back to Colorado one of these days, hopefully when I'm feeling better! (We went to Mesa Verde too, and I really enjoyed that.)

Almost forgot: Colorado is the 38th state, and its nickname is the Centennial State because it became a state in 1876.

This book joined Erishkigal's Mystery with a Twistery bookbox in search of a new reader.

I'm almost all the way thru the box journalling, and was beginning to wonder if ANY of your books were still here~~ you must have put in a great batch of books!

And after reading your journal, I had to take a glance at the recipes...the torte sounds more like a pecan pie~~ I always thought torte and chocolate were synonymous :D The Blue Cheesecake intrigues me, tho~~ I can't recall ever having had a savory cheesecake. I think I have to try this.

I haven't ready Goldy previously~~she sounds like fun!

Well, it took me a bloody long time to get the round tuit, but finally I did. And it's a light fun weekend read,with a couple of recipes I do want to try before passing the book along. Already It's inspired me~~ instead of picking up something to take to last night's post sweatlodge pot-luck, I baked yummy Irish Soda Bread (with caraway seeds and raisins)....mmmmmmmmm.

But wouldn't it be loverly if cooking/baking were as effortless in my reality asit is in Goldy's :-)

part of the theme release for move #1 in a game of Bookcrossing Monopoly! It is a shopping center themed release, so a group of books will be placed in a shopping bag~painted with Ballycumber~ and set free at Fashion Place Mall. All have something do do with the Mall/shopping center theme.
[about a half hour later, went back to take a pic with the dark Godiva I'd just purchased...but all was gone, ]
