Starting a bookray for this book. The movie "Someone Like You" was based on this book, and the genre is chick-lit. Please PM me if interested in this international ray. Thanks!

When I pulled into the driveway after picking up my 4 1/2 y.o from summer camp, I had 3 packages waiting for me! Wow. Fortunately only one bookray so shall read it lickety-split. Thanks for the book Serefim.

June 26, 2003 - Just started the book this morning. Should be a quick read. -- tania

What an interesting book. I enjoyed it despite the surreal plot. Loved the way Jane used notebooks to work through her pain. I am now waiting for Rozenn to PM her address.

Monday July 7, 2003 -- This is now on it's way to Rozenn. Happy reading.

I got it on the mail this morning ! (I began to wonder whether it had been lost or not...)
I will make a new entry as soon as I finish it.

I really enjoyed this book ! It was unlike other chick-lit that I've read (basically : Bridget Jones's diary :-) ). I found the story moving and the main character very sensible. She is touching, has a sense of humor and her reaction (understanding men via ethology) is really original and well thought.
The only thing that annoyed me is the rythm of the story : the beginning is a bit too slow and the end a bit too quick. But I'm a hairsplitter :-))
It's now on its way to allbookedup, Austria. Enjoy !

This was a really quick, funny and light read. Thank you Seferim for sharing! I will send it on to the next person as soon as possible...

Just received in yesterday's mail and started it on the drive to the ballpark. So far I like it, but I agree the beginning is a little slow, not as "funny" as it wants to be. But I'll post again once I've read the whole thing!

Finished it today, but I felt that, like "The Nanny Diaries", this was a book that was more wry and knowing than outright funny, but the Powers That Be at the publisher decided to promote it as if it was light fluffy chick-lit. I liked the book, but thought the ending was dissatisfying, like the author didn't know how to wind up her story so she did nothing. Was it on purpose, like "things don't change" thereby proving the Cow theory? Maybe, but it just wasn't enough. I liked how she began each chapter with an excerpt from real scientific papers, and I do think that this book should be required reading for all single men! Some of it rings so true.

Finished this one this evening...it was cute...but a bit too much scientific chatter for my sake...I enjoyed this movie years ago, and I believe that the movie focused far less on the scientific parts of this book...I'm glad I took the time to read it!! Thanks again Seferim for sending this out as a Ray & allowing me to be apart of it...

This one will be headed off to mjm (who has moved to KS) on Monday morning via Media Mail

Ok, well, this is totally embarrassing. I accidentally sent this to raralovestoread instead of RlyLv2Rd. I can't believe I did that - I am usually so organized and on top of things. I truly, truly apologize.

Raralovestoread has graciously offered to send it to RlyLv2Rd, so though there will be a slight delay in this bookray, it will continue on its journay.

Again, my deepest apologies.

I mailed this book to RlyLv2Rd this afternoon.

Yea...arrived safe and sound and well rested (brief detour through Florida) :)! I also received another bookring today so hopefully will get to this soon. If I don't hear from anyone via PM...I may bring this to the next local meet-up and see if there are any takers (noticed my good buddy (eriko1908) already enjoyed it so will check with a few others). Thanks raralovestoread for providing a shelter from the storm and postage while AH took the scenic route.

Journal Entry 22 by RlyLv2Rd from Viroqua, Wisconsin USA on Wednesday, August 18, 2004
Loved this book...thanks once again seferim! It did remind me of Bridget Jones...I "loved" the scientific blurbs throughout the book, too (ha ha, eriko1908)...and by the end I was chuckling out loud (always a good sign).

Now, where shall it go next? I think I will PM a few local Bxers since I missed the meet-up and see if I can find any takers. Possibly it will go with me to Baltimore next week where I can hand it off to Dreamer2 who I get to meet in person, or left somewhere exciting. Any ideas???
