Girl with a Pearl Earring
2 journalers for this copy...
A charming biographic novel of sorts of the life and work of the Dutch painter Vermeer from the perspective of the girl who sat for his portrait entitled The Girl with the Pearl Earring. Light and sweet. The book is greatly enhanced by the beautifully rendered copy of the portrait on the cover which is truly the Dutch Mona Lisa.

Bookymon passed this delightful book onto me - it will be visiting a friend (who has recently visited Holland) and will then probably end up as permanent collection. I really enjoyed this charming story about this famous painter and painting.
