Sending off to hakkalina who has this on her wishlist. It's a lovely book, I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
My dream comes truth! :)
I got the parcel notification on Friday. I couldn't go to gather it on Saturday since I was sleeping. I took an examination on Friday, and I passed :D, but I was exhausted and needed to relax and sleep. Today, the post office opened at 8 o'clock in the morning, before going to work, I went there and received my parcel. It was well stuck, so I couldn't tear it open on the tram. When I opened it caught sight of a book, which I wanted to read for ages ... Thank you TaxManager! I am so happy!! :)
The envelope is a real worn-out and reused one, I found more layers considering its addresses, but I cut them off, and maybe I will use it again :)
Update: 2009.09.06.
I started to read it, after 2 (weekend) days reading I am on the 96th page, so it will last some weeks to finish it. But I LOVE, I simply love the story. Moreover the style of Binchi is "easy", it is readable enough. Beautifully detailed happenings. I am amazed.
Update: 2009.11.20.
I was on holiday today, since a muscle of my back is so painful, I think I made a wrong movement sometime. Thus I had time to finish the story of the "Evening Class". Bincy has got a smooth style, although the descirptions are detailed, even though easily understandable. So I loved every moment when I got a chance to read. I always love to hear about people's life, how their life come into being, what are their sadness or happiness. So this novel was perfect to me.
Thanks Taxmanager, your will to fulfill my wish, brought me a new world, and showed me how much I can understand in English! At least I am better than I had thought myself! :)
I am so lucky, this week I got the "Quentins", I can read more and get to know more about the Dublin's people life.
I recently read Maeve Binchy's "Lilac Bus", and I liked her writing style so much that I decided I want to read her other books, too. So I put as many as I could find on my wishlist to remember to look for them.
Well, this morning I received a surprise RABCK package from hakkalina, and this book was part of the package, along with some other fabulous stuff. I'm really looking forward to reading it, but am going to prolong gratification for a while and save the book for summer holidays, to read it while lazying about at the seaside. :D
Thank you hakkalina for the wonderful surprise! :)
