This was a rescue library book that came to Texas by way of appaloosatb from Byron, Minnesota. Thanks for your efforts.
I think I will let this one find a new home. I just have way more than I can read now. It is short stories and a novella that look good.

Another for my grandaughter? The highschool one.

From Booklist
Gr. 8^-12. The six stories and the novella that make up this collection offer wonderfully intimate and realistic portraits of teen angst, as protagonists deal with romance, family, job, and school troubles. Each inclusion concerns a difficulty in communication, but the plots are very different, ranging from one about growing up in rural Minnesota as the son of a lesbian couple to one concerning the painful silence surrounding a mother's bout with cancer. The novella is a powerful argument against sexual harassment, delivered by a young man who has learned how much words can hurt. Dines' incredibly real dialogue and her use of the first-person present tense perfectly captures the frustration of adolescence and puts readers right into each narrator's consciousness. The eye-catching cover (a photo collage of teens) and the snappy, appealing title will help draw a big audience. Debbie Carton

First line "The best thing about my father is his choice of women."

I would keep it to read but short stories are the bottom of the TBR list most of the times.
This book thought that it was time to find a new reader so it ask to be in the Wrap-it-up BB.
Hope it finds a nice reader soon!
Thanks for passing the box along.

7 out of 10

I finished this this morning on the train. I really enjoyed these short stories. Each story had a moral and the teenager learned something in the end.

Thanks for sharing! :)
