Journal Entry 1 by dawni from Windsor, Ontario Canada on Wednesday, May 28, 2003
Purchased for 25¢ at a garage sale in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I haven't read this book since high school - it's been many, many years, and I really don't remember ever reading it in the first place! Getting old is fun... Anyway, I did a re-read prior to releasing it, and can't say that I loved it. I remember not loving it in high school, but thought I'd give it another shot as an adult... but nothing's changed. :) dawni

Journal Entry 3 by JackHeart from Victoria, British Columbia Canada on Monday, June 23, 2003
Hi! I found the book on a bench outside the Central Library in Victoria. I was surprised to find it because, you see I have only a temporary library card here, which allows me only to paperbacks at a time and I was trying to decide between Joyce's "The Dubliners" or Goldings' "Lord of the Flies" I chose "The Dubliners" and "That Time In Paris" by Callaghan and I thought the next time I'll take out "Lord of the Flies". So I sat down on the bench to have a cigarette and to read when out of nowhere I see "Lord of the Flies" sitting there beside me. Maybe it was a coincidence, maybe fate, who knows but I was surprised! Anyways, I've finished it and thought it very good. I don't know where I'll leave it next, maybe the same place. Whoever finds it next, enjoy it then let it go and have a drink for me. Cao.
