It wasn't Ken Follett's best, in my opinion.

I really liked the premise of the book. The whole idea was good, but I can't say the same for the execution. First half of the book was really gripping, but then it went downhill. This is one of those books where you have a feeling that the "good guy" wins and the "bad guys" looses. I kept reading because I wanted to find out just how bad the "bad guys" get it, but not because I couldn't put this book down.

I really think I may have read this before. At least the first two chapters were extremely familiar, but I didn't remember anything after that so I still enjoyed it.
