This book has spent a long time on my wishist. I'd read about it on one of the BookCrossing forums (probably Book Talk), and was immediately intrigued. Last summer I thought I'd get a copy, but unfortunately it was lost in the mail. Now I got another one via BookMooch, and I'm still curious, maybe more than ever. TBR!

I finally finished reading this, and I must say I didn't like it.
The larger part of it basically felt like a drawn-out short story that took too much time to build, mainly because the main character and his best friend spent most of the time thinking or talking about naked women.
Just when I thought I'd made up my mind that this could have been a rather okay short story if you took out all the (imagined) near sex scenes, someone mentioned in the Book Talk Forum that the ending would make up for all that slow building up. Curious, I resumed reading, and... well, the ending is just gory (which I wouldn't mind so much) and ludicrous. I'm disappointed.
This book will be on its way soon; I hope it will find new readers who will like it better than I did.
