I finished reading this book quite a while ago and I remember enjoying it... It's a big book, but it reads really quite fast and it didn't take me as long as I initially expected to finish it. The story is gripping, though some of the more magical parts didn't really come across that well, I think. I couldn't really go along with some of the explanations of the things that happened, but it was still a very interesting read.
