8 out of 10

This book is every bit as good as The Other Boleyn Girl, which is the book for which Gregory is perhaps best known.

This story focuses on Henry VII's first wife, Kathryn of Aragon, from her childhood up to her pregnancy with her daughter Mary. There is a short bit at the end dealing with the Boleyn affair, but by that time the reader is so engaged with who Kathryn is and what made her that way, that her choices seem natural. The book also provided an interesting glimpse into Henry and proposed an explanation for why he was the way he was. Very good read.
