Journal Entry 1 by BethanieKay from Fort Worth, Texas USA on Friday, May 01, 2009
I picked this up at Half Price Books today. I have been wanting to read this for a while now, as the title caught my eye and I am a "list lover" myself :) Also, my women's book club read it a couple months ago, but I was out of town, so I missed it! I plan to take this book with me on my upcoming trip to Greece! From the back of the book: After a car accident in which her passenger, Marissa, dies, June Parker finds herself in possession of a list Marissa has written: "20 Things to Do by My 25th Birthday." The tasks range from inspiring (run a 5K) to daring (go braless) to near-impossible (change someone's life). To assuage her guilt, June races to achieve each goal herself before the deadline, learning more about her own life than she ever bargained for.

Journal Entry 2 by BethanieKay from Fort Worth, Texas USA on Saturday, May 09, 2009
I read almost this entire book on my flight from Dallas to Newark last night... and finished it in the hotel room this morning :) This was a really quick and enjoyable read, with a catchy storyline and interesting characters. I also thought everything wrapped up nicely at the end, which I like in a book :) I have read a few books that center around "lists". I suppose, as a list maker myself, the idea just appeals to me. I have a "List of Things to Do in Life", and I also keep lists of the places I've been, the books I've read, etc. etc. For that reason, the storyline appealed to me, and I enjoyed how the author carried out the theme all the way to the end, when she gives suggestions for how you can get your Book Club involved in making lists to spur the discussion of the book, should you choose this book for your Book Club. I'm not sure what I'll do with this book ... either I'll release it, or save it for a bookring/ray.

Journal Entry 7 by Joanazinha from Amersfoort, Utrecht Netherlands on Thursday, June 25, 2009
And today the book has arrived at my place. Thank you for sending it to me, BethanieKay! It was a quick journey across the ocean :-). In 2 days I'm leaving on holiday, this book will accompany me (among others, of course :-)). To be continued!

Journal Entry 8 by Joanazinha from Amersfoort, Utrecht Netherlands on Saturday, July 18, 2009
The theme of this book is not original, but a nice way to introduce the main character to a lot of activities and other persons in the book. This book was an easy and lighthearted read, which I finished in 2 days during my holiday. Compared to 'PS, I love you' by Cecilia Ahern (another book about someone finishing a list), I found this book a bit too easy, but overall it was a nice read. I will PM mefeather, so the book can continue its journey.

Nice book to read, but nothing special. :-) Still, it has kept me busy in a nice way for a couple of days so you don't hear me complaining. :D I love reading books from new - to me - authors, so thank you BethanieKay for making this an international ring! I will contact the next reader on the list for this book.

Journal Entry 14 by Originalmulli on Sunday, August 30, 2009
An enjoyable and quite engaging read. I don't think it can be said to 'transcend the chick-lit category' as is claimed on the back, because it was just too predictable, but it did make me laugh out loud in places and the poignant symbolic moment with the birthday candles will stay with me. I like the suggestions at the back for book clubs about making your own lists. It did get me thinking a bit! Thanks BethanieKay for sharing this. I will get it on its way to Canada ASAP.

Journal Entry 20 by NancyNova from Lansdale, Pennsylvania USA on Monday, March 08, 2010
Quick and easy read. Sort of reminded me of The Bucket List or Twenty Wishes. Kind of a quirky ending for how the list was "completed" - and i didn't expect some of the ways the list was completed. Off to the next reader!

I'm just a huge fan of authors who write in the language that I actually use! (It makes the book SOOO much easier to read!) I also thought the premise was compelling and original, and the tone wasn't too serious or too light. All in all, a good story that I'd recommend to anyone.

Thus I would like to get extra weeks, I promise I will send it around at the end of October. Thanks. 2010.10.18. I am going to send this book on in this week. Journal Entry 39 by Soozreader at Joensuu, Pohjois-Karjala Finland on Monday, December 05, 2011
I really enjoyed this book! I thought it was still chick-lit but with a bit more serious and meaningful story behind it...:) In the end things didn't turn out quite as I expected but that's nothing new:D A very good way to relax during these busy times! There's no way I'd release this book into the wild, because I think it deserves more journal entries...so I'll be sending it to a fellow Bookcrosser soon:)

I'm not a list writing person, but I really did enjoy this book and it made me think that maybe it's not such a bad idea to jot down a little list of the things I want to do before I die. It was such a quick and funny read, I read it in a couple of days, with lots of belly laughs and tears.
